Also referred to as a cambium saver, the Buckingham Friction Saver is used to protect the rope from being damaged by tree bark. It also helps prevent the tree bark from being damaged by the friction of moving rope.
The Buckingham Friction Saver is color-coded so the user can quickly identify the broad and narrow sides when removing. The rings are light but very thick and provide a friction-reduced glide for climbing.
