1. KEY DATE:
The Arborist Store “Win a Registration to 2026 ISA Ontario’s Annual Conference & Trade Show Giveaway” Contest (the “Contest”) begins on December 2, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern time (“ET”) and ends on January 5, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER:
This Contest is open only to legal residents of Ontario who have reached the age of majority in their province at the time of entry (an “Entrant”). Employees, directors, officers, agents, and representatives of VSGC, Inc. d.b.a. The Arborist Store (“TAS” or the “Sponsor”) and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, prize providers, distributors, and other suppliers of materials and services related to this Contest (collectively, the “Contest Parties”), and each of their immediate family members or those living in the same household are not eligible to participate. By participating, Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and accept decisions of the Sponsor as final. All federal, provincial, and local laws apply. Void outside of Ontario and where prohibited.
3. AGREEMENT TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY RULES:

- What new products or innovations are you most interested in seeing at the tradeshow?
- What is your favourite piece of arborist gear and why?
Option 2 Enter by Mail (3 Entries): Hand-print your name, complete mailing address, telephone number, date of birth, and the words “2026 ISA Ontario’s Annual Conference Giveaway,” along with your answers to the three questions listed above, on a plain piece of paper. 5. SWEEPSTAKES RANDOM DRAWING: A random drawing will be conducted on or about January 12, 2026 [2:00 PM ET] at [1645 Bonhill Rd, Unit 1, Mississauga, ON L5T 1R3], from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The random drawing will be conducted using software provided by miniwebtool.com which utilizes a 3-step Process Certification function including Server-Side Certification and an SHA512 hash code to ensure credibility and transparency. Odds of winning the Contest Grand Prize (as defined below) depends upon the number of eligible entries received.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Each selected Entrant will be notified via email or telephone call from the Sponsor on how to fully comply with these Official Rules in order to be declared a winner. Selected Entrants are subject to verification by Sponsor. Selected Entrants must respond within 7 days to claim the Grand Prize. Failure to respond or comply with Official Rules may result in disqualification at Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected Entrant to receive notification or for the Sponsor’s failure to receive a selected Entrant’s response. Before being declared a winner, the Entrant will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered during a pre-arranged telephone call or by e-mail.
By accepting the Grand Prize, the Entrant agrees (a) that they have received, read and complied with, and confirmed that they are eligible in accordance with, these Contest Rules; (b) that the Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash; (c) that they accept the Grand Prize as offered; (d) that, in consideration for the Grand Prize, they release and forever discharge the Sponsor and each of its agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, actions, costs, liabilities or damages which may arise directly or indirectly in connection with the Contest, the Entrant’s participation therein and/or their use or receipt of the Grand Prize; (e) to assume all responsibility and liability relating the Entrant’s participation in the Contest, and the use and receipt of the Grand Prize, and to indemnify the Sponsor for any loss, injury, accident, misfortune or damage which results from any negligent and/or willful misconduct in connection with the Contest, the comments on the Post or the use and/or receipt of the Grand Prize; (f) to allow the Sponsor to use the Entrant’s name, voice, photograph, likeness and statements in any advertising or publicity carried out by or on behalf of Sponsor about the Contest in any manner whatsoever and in any medium, including print, broadcast or the internet, without further notice or compensation; and (g) to sign release and declaration documentation confirming the foregoing if requested by the Sponsor in its discretion. Under no circumstances will the Sponsor be responsible for awarding more than the number of Grand Prizes expressly contemplated in these Official Rules.
7. PRIZE DETAILS AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV IN CAD): There will be one (1) grand prize available to be won at the end of the Contest Period (the “Grand Prize”). The Grand Prize consists of: one (1) registration to the ISAO Annual Conference & Trade Show, February 18–20, 2026, at RBC Place, London, Ontario. Prize does NOT include transportation or accommodation. The approximate total value of the Grand Prize is CAD $635. The approximate registration value of the Grand Prize is based on 2025 ISA Ontario’s Annual Conference & Trade Show, early bird registration fee $635. The actual 2026 registration value may vary.
The Grand Prize is provided "as is" and without any warranty of any kind. The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferrable. No cash redemption or prize substitution allowed by winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Grand Prize of equal or greater value if an advertised Grand Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Winners are not entitled to monetary difference between actual Grand Prize value and stated approximate registration value, if any. The winner will be responsible for any expense not explicitly included in the Grand Prize, including but not limited to ground transportation, communication charges, telephone, cable charges; personal services and expenses such as food, valet, room service; insurance; and other incidental costs. The Sponsor reserves the right to select or change any other element of the Grand Prize in its sole discretion.
Winner must have no restrictions on their ability to travel to 300 York St, London ON N6B 1P8 or to fully participate in the Grand Prize or the Grand Prize may be forfeited, in whole or in part and may, at the Sponsor’s discretion, be awarded to an alternate Entrant. Winner is responsible for arranging and paying for all necessary travel accommodations. Winner must obey all ISA Ontario’s Annual Conference & Trade Show policies, rules and requirements, including the documents or information required for the registration. Sponsor will not be responsible if weather conditions, activity or activity-related cancellations, or other factors beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control prevent the Grand Prize or part of the Grand Prize from being fulfilled, and the winner will not be entitled to compensation in lieu thereof.
Winner will be required to sign and return a release and declaration document (as described further below).
8. GENERAL RULES: The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all Entrants without right of appeal. Entrants/winners agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Contest Parties from and against any and all liability (including damages caused or claimed to be caused) arising out of participation and/or acceptance/use of prize, and agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the Sponsor’s decisions, which are final. Acceptance of a Grand Prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use winners’ names and/or likenesses for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, including a winners list, unless prohibited by law. To the extent permitted by law, claims may not be resolved through any form of class action. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest materials and the terms and conditions of the Official Rules, the English version of Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. In no event will Sponsor be obligated to award more than the stated number of prizes. In the event of a printing, production or other error neither the Sponsor nor its respective agents and agencies shall have any liability.
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw or amend this Contest in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, impersonation, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules. Entries that are late, inaccessible, unviewable, contain false information, are damaged, misdirected, corrupted, mutilated, garbled or incomplete, altered or otherwise irregular or that do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions these Official Rules will be judged void. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
Without limitation, the Sponsor will not be liable for any failure of its website during the Contest; for a technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer or device on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer or device equipment or software. Further, the Sponsor will not be liable for any injury or damage to an Entrant’s or any other person’s computer or device related to or resulting from participating, or downloading any material, in the Contest.
By entering this Contest, each Entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents, representatives, and service providers storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted in their communications with the Sponsor only for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy (available at: https://thearboriststore.com/privacy-policy) unless the Entrant otherwise agrees to receive further communications from the Sponsor. Any questions or comments regarding the Contest should be directed to the Sponsor.
All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations associated with Sponsor and/or the Contest, are owned by the Sponsor and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
9. GOVERNING LAW: Contest is subject to and governed by Canadian laws and regulations. Void outside of Ontario and where prohibited. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants’ rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with this Contest, shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Canada without regard to its principles of conflicts of law. Jurisdiction and venue shall be solely within the Province of Ontario.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
10. ADDITIONAL TERMS : Travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the winner. The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest or any portion thereof in the event of unforeseen circumstances or technical issues beyond its reasonable control.
LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT FOR THE ARBORIST STORE “WIN A REGISTRATION TO 2026 ISA ONTARIO’S ANNUAL CONFERENCE & TRADE SHOW GIVEAWAY” (the “Contest”)
By accepting the prize as described in the Official Rules for the Contest (the “Prize”), the undersigned (“Participant”) acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:
1. Acknowledgment of the Prize. I understand that I have been selected as eligible to win a prize in the Contest sponsored by VSGC, Inc. d.b.a. The Arborist Store (the “Sponsor”) consisting of one (1) registration to the ISAO Annual Conference & Trade Show, February 18–20, 2026, at RBC Place, London, Ontario. Prize does NOT include transportation or accommodation. The approximate total maximum value of the Prize is CAD $635. The prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash or otherwise. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of greater or equivalent monetary value if the prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Sponsor will not replace any lost, or stolen prize. I understand that any other costs or expenses associated with the prize not specified herein will be my responsibility.
2. Acknowledgement of Eligibility. I confirm that I am a legal resident of Ontario, Canada and had reached the age of majority in my province of residence at the time of entry. I confirm that I am not an officer, director, employee, agent or representative of the Sponsor or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, prize providers, distributors, or other suppliers of materials and services related to this Contest (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), or a member of any immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouses, regardless of where they live) or households (whether or not related) of such officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives. I confirm that I completed the skill-testing question as required without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, and have read, understood and otherwise complied in all respects with the Official Rules attached to this Release.
3. Acknowledgment of Risk Participant understands that travel and related activities may involve risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, or unforeseen events. Participant voluntarily assumes all such risks.
4. Informed Consent and Voluntary Participation Participant confirms that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to this waiver. Participant acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice before signing.
5. Release of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Participant releases and forever discharges the Promotion Entities and each of their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (“Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, judgments, actions, or causes of action which may arise directly or indirectly in connection with the Contest, my participation therein or the acceptance, receipt, defect in, delivery of, use inability to use, or misuse or possession of the Prize, which I or my respective heirs, executors, administrators or next-of-kin may now or hereafter have against them or any part of them, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
6. Indemnification Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from Participant’s conduct or participation in the Contest or the Prize.
7. Medical Treatment and Insurance Participant acknowledges that the Released Parties do not provide medical care or insurance. Participant is responsible for obtaining appropriate coverage and assumes all costs related to medical treatment or emergency services.
8. Compliance with Laws and Conduct Participant agrees to comply with all applicable laws and behave responsibly during their participation in the Prize. The Released Parties reserve the right to revoke the Prize for conduct deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
9. Publicity Release. I consent to Sponsor's use (without obligation) of my name, city/province of residence, picture, biographical information, statements, voice and likeness in any advertising and publicity Sponsor, Promotion Entities and their respective successors, assigns and licensees (the “Contest Parties”) may conduct relating to the Contest or any future contest in any media or format, whether now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web and any social media pages of the Contest Parties, at any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice, and I hereby release the Contest Parties from any liability with respect thereto. I consent and agree to have my name published on Sponsor’s social media pages.
10. I acknowledge that in order to be declared the winner of the Prize, I must sign and return this Release to Sponsor no later than [Monday, January 19th, 2026].
11. Severability If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable under Ontario law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
12. Governing Law This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
13. Acknowledgment and Acceptance By signing below, Participant affirms that they have read and understood this Agreement, voluntarily accept its terms, and confirms that it is a true and accurate statement of the facts contained herein.
