Doggett specifically formulates all products in their XL line for the professional arborist. All XL products have a high U.F. content, which allows particles to remain suspended instead of being dissolved immediately. Because of this, these products should only be used in sprayers with sufficient agitation to avoid damage to the equipment.
Over 38% of the nitrogen in Doggett's XL Evergreen Special is from Nitroform®, a unique non-leaching ureaform fertilizer. This product releases its nitrogen reserves gradually, over the entire growing season. Bacteria convert the most soluble portion of the nitrogen so that 1/3 is released in the first 3 to 5 weeks, the balance over 6 to 12 months. Therefore, any not delivered in a certain year can carry forward to the next season.
The Evergreen Special is perfect for soil injection into the root area of plants, shrubs and trees. It is purposely created for plants that require high acid soils and extra quantities of iron. It can be injected around individual trees and plants or throughout a foundation or bed planting.
